Jan Sobieraj

Jan is currently Chief Executive of Sheffield PCT, a post he took up on in December 2006, having previously been Chief Executive of Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust since 2001.
The new Sheffield PCT came into effect on 1st October 2006, formed from the four previous Sheffield PCTs, with a budget of approximately £750m plus 2,500 staff.
Jan had also previously been Chief Executive of an NHS trust in Lincolnshire working in community mental health services and, in addition to his health service experience, he has held a number of senior general management positions in social housing and the private sector.
Jan is a Visiting Senior Fellow at the Centre of Health Improvement and Leadership at the University of Lincoln.
