Margaret Goose

Margaret has been a lay member of the Council of the Royal College of Physicians, London, and Chair of their Patient and Carer Involvement Steering Group, since 2004.
In 2006, she became Chair of the Partners Board overseeing the work of the National Collaborating Centre for Chronic Conditions. She is also Vice-President of The Stroke Association having served as Chief Executive from 1997–2004.
Margaret's career has involved posts in both academic and NHS organisations including Head of the Health and Management Development Division at the Nuffield Institute for Health, University of Leeds, and Chief Executive of the North Bedfordshire Health Authority. She was also Co-Leader of Stroke-specific Development Programmes for the Clinical Governance Development Team at the NHS Modernisation Agency between 2002–2004.
Margaret was awarded an OBE in 2004, for services to healthcare.
