The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) is a not-for-profit organisation leading the improvement of healthcare throughout the world.
Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA), the IHI helps accelerate change in health care by cultivating promising concepts for improving patient care and turning those ideas into action.
The IHI has had considerable success with its “100,000 Lives Campaign” aimed at reducing preventable deaths in US hospitals, and has recently launched a “5 Million Lives” campaign to protect more patients from preventable harm.
The IHI worked with us on the Safer Patients Initiative and continues to partner us in our work to improve healthcare in Malawi.
