Tim Sims
Tim spent 20 years working in education, becoming a Senior Lecturer in Professional Development, before setting up a partnership focused on public and commercial sector team development in 1990.
Tim specialises in change management and his work covers four main areas of activity:
Team development involves supporting strategic and operational teams in primary care, other public sector organisations, including The British Library, and in multinationals to manage significant transformations. He regularly facilitates a range of strategic UN teams in post-crisis states in the Balkans.
The second area is individual and group coaching. Tim coaches clinicians, managers, higher education chief executives and trade union leaders in their leadership roles.
His third area is evaluation of major change projects. This work has included evaluation of health change projects for Birmingham Race Action Partnership, of European support for rule of law in Albania and Serbia for the Council of Europe and advising the World Bank and the EU Commission on evaluation of partnership projects.
Tim's fourth main area of work involves training, where he facilitates training in leadership, facilitation and coaching.
Tim co-facilitates the Health Foundation Leadership Fellows scheme, along with Fiona Reed, and has worked in, and supported the development of, the Foundation’s Shared Leadership for Change scheme.
