In April 2011, the project teams met to celebrate the end of the programme and share their learning. Over a hundred people, including clinicians, researchers and people involved in management and policy, came together to discuss their various experiences, all with a shared enthusiasm for improving quality in primary care.
The event included a taster of the journeys each of the nine projects took, followed by a presentation of the emerging findings of the overall evaluation. The day concluded with a lively and thoughtful panel discussion, which explored themes such as: What is quality improvement? Why is patient involvement so important? Are you a snail or an evangelist? You can watch highlights in the video above and read Martin Marshall's blog on the snail/evangelist debate.
The full evaluation report for this programme will be available in Autumn 2011, but you can read some of the emerging findings, and key themes, by downloading the event booklet.
