GenerationQ

Q initiative

Q is an initiative, led by the Health Foundation and supported and co-funded by NHS Improvement, connecting people across the UK.

Q will make it easier for people from all parts of the health and care system with expertise in improvement to share ideas, enhance their skills and make health and care better for patients and those working in the system.

BMJ Quality & Safety

The Health Foundation co-owns the BMJ Quality and Safety journal with the BMJ Group.

The journal aims to advance research and generate new thinking in the areas of quality and safety of health care, and the science of improvement.

Projects

We fund hundreds of improvement projects, research projects, and individuals with a passion for health care improvement.

Communications in health care improvement - a toolkit

This toolkit is for health care professionals working in improvement who want to understand and use communications to better plan, implement and spread their work. The toolkit takes you, step by step, through the practical actions necessary to harness the power of communications to your cause. No previous experience of communications is required.

Improvement research

Improvement science researches effective techniques, strategies and theories that can then be used widely by many teams in different settings to undertake quality improvement well. Find out more about our work in this important area and our plans for a new institute.
