As an independent charitable foundation, we spend up to £20 million annually on projects throughout the UK. We also support health improvement in the developing world.

As well as offering a range of award schemes, we fund projects to test out new ways of improving the quality and performance of health services and commission research that builds the evidence for quality improvement. Central to our work is the importance of monitoring and evaluating the impact of our investments - and using the results to help shape future health policy and practice
