Quality Improvement Fellowships aim to equip clinically-qualified senior NHS professionals with the tools and techniques of quality improvement.
Note this scheme is now closed for applications.
Fellows spend a year in the USA working with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, studying the best international practices in quality improvement. Our aim is that on their return to the UK fellows will integrate their learning into processes and procedures at their employing organisation in order to have a real impact on service improvement and promote quality improvement nationally.
About the fellowships
This prestigious fellowship aims to develop senior leaders who have the enthusiasm and potential to promote quality improvement nationally and build organisational capability to drive quality improvement to dramatically higher levels of performance.
The fellowship combines academic learning with the development of practical skills and techniques for quality improvement.
