Miqdad Asaria Fellow
Miqdad is a health economist based at the Department of Health Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has extensive experience in both academic and policy making settings.
His research interests are focussed around the economics of health inequality and health financing with a particular focus on the health systems in India and the UK.
Prior to working at LSE, Miqdad has worked with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in India, the Centre for Health Economics at the University of York and the Department of Health in the UK. He has also consulted widely for a range of governments and international organisations and serves on advisory groups for government bodies, non-governmental organisations and academic research projects. In addition to his position at LSE, Miqdad also holds an adjunct position at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Kochi, India and a visiting position at the University of York, UK. He currently holds a fellowship from The Health Foundation where he works closely with the REAL centre.
