Reshaping relationships between people who use healthcare services and those who provide them

The NHS needs transformational change before it can offer truly personalised care; and it needs truly personalised care before it can transform the quality of its services.

We need to reshape services for the people who use them: engaging people and communities as partners in designing services and delivering care. That means people taking responsibility for changing systems, cultures, beliefs and behaviours in every part of the health service.

This 'snapshot' of our work looks at transforming the dynamic between people who use services and those who provide them.

This is the first in our range of snapshot publications, which give a brief overview of our work across a theme or on a particular programme. They include backgound information, our work in this area, our learning so far, key priorities and how to get involved.
