The health and care system is facing major challenges, with the need to improve at significant scale and pace in the face of considerable financial pressures.

This is why the Health Foundation invests in flagship partnerships and initiatives that build capability and the evidence base for improvement and support an infrastructure for scaling and spreading change.

For example, the Q community connects people with improvement expertise across the UK and Ireland, to foster continuous and sustainable improvement in health and care.

And we've invested in the creation of THIS Institute (The Healthcare Improvement Studies Institute) in order to build the evidence base for how improvement happens to support replicable and scalable improvements to health care delivery.
