Ellen Coughlan Programme Manager

Ellen joined the Health Foundation in June 2019 as Programme Manager, supporting better analytics in the health and care system.
Working within the Data Analytics directorate, Ellen focuses on ensuring that everyone’s health and care benefits from analytics and data driven technology. She manages a programme of work seeking to build analytical capability within health and care. This portfolio includes the Advancing Applied Analytics programme that has awarded funds to teams from each corner of the UK who deploy analytics to tackle real world problems. The programme also seeks to build capability by supporting analytical communities and improving demand for quality analysis.
Ellen’s background is in primary care, having led an analytics unit in a large GP Federation. In this role she oversaw the delivery of a linked dataset with partners across the system and designed analytics frameworks to improve service planning and delivery in general practice.
Following an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London, Ellen has an MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Bath.
