Improvement analytics unit (IAU)

Filipe is an analyst for the Improvement Analytics Unit and works for NHS England.
He works on the preparation and analysis of routine data sets to support the quantitative evaluation of local change initiatives. He has also been focused on a methodology to identify residents of care homes residents from national NHS data sets.
Filipe is a NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme alumni in Health Informatics. Between 2013 and 2015 Filipe worked in a number of analytics projects across organisations such as East Kent Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, NHS England London Regional team and Community Services in Surrey with Virgin Care.
Filipe completed an MSc in Health Informatics at University College London and the NHS Leadership Academy Mary Seacole Post Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership from the Open University. He also has an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the New University of Lisbon, Portugal.
