Matilda Allen Public Health Specialty Registrar
Matilda joined the Health Foundation in March 2019 as a Public Health Specialty Registrar.
Before joining the Health Foundation, Matilda worked in local government, health protection, and as a research fellow at the UCL Institute of Health Equity.
Matilda's work focusses on health inequalities, the social determinants of health, and the role of the health care sector in improving population health through prevention, with a current focus on the role of anchor institutions. Matilda also currently works for PHE on the COVID-19 response.
Matilda has an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and an MSc in Philosophy and Public Policy from the London School of Economics.
Matilda is a 2020-21 Harkness Fellow in Healthcare Policy and Practice.
