About me

Anoop is a GenerationQ Fellow and GP Partner, Staithe Surgery, Norfolk, and Clinical Chair, NHS North Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

North Norfolk CCG is responsible for commissioning health care for its 170,000 patients. Anoop leads the CCG’s governing body and council of members, and is responsible for ensuring the CCG discharges its functions effectively, economically and with good governance.

He also spends 2–3 days a week providing clinical care to patients. Anoop spent 25 years as a GP Partner at Staithe Surgery in Stalham, Norfolk. He has been involved in local NHS development since 1998 as former chair of Broadland and North Norfolk Primary Care Groups, and held a variety of roles on the Norfolk Primary Care Trust Board.

Through GenerationQ, Anoop is looking forward to having access to both academic and network support from a diverse group of leaders within and outside of the health service. He believes leadership can contribute significantly to an organisation, team or cause, and feels there is ‘a need for system leaders in Norfolk to work together and engineer transformational changes in the delivery of health and social care’.

As health and care services in Norfolk strive to work together and engage with each other in a meaningful way this is likely to provide new leadership challenges. Anoop is looking to become more systematic in his development as a leader: ‘I hope the GenerationQ fellowship will help me to adopt a more proactive, strategic and organised approach to my leadership journey.’
