About me
Lucy is a Health Foundation Leadership Fellow and Community Services Manager for Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust.
Lucy qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1984 and a Registered Mental Nurse in 1988. She has since gained diploma’s in Counselling and Group Facilitation. At the time of her fellowship, Lucy had been in her current post since July 2005.
She was responsible for the leadership, clinical effectiveness, business and financial management of services encompassing inpatient, rehabilitation, continuing care and specialist community services. This included 11 teams with 160 staff from health and social care disciplines with an overall budget of £14 million.
The purpose of the service was to provide mental health care for adults of working age to include assessment, medical, nursing, psychological care and treatment, rehabilitation towards full recovery and on going community care to ensure good health and integration back into their communities and the best quality of life that is possible.
