Rhian Slattery Executive Lead for Improvement Practice

About me

Rhian is a GenerationQ Fellow and Executive Lead for Improvement Practice at Livewell Southwest community interest company.

Livewell Southwest is the country’s largest health and care social enterprise. It provides care for children and young people with physical and mental health needs, and integrated mental, physical and social care services for adults. Services are delivered in community and inpatient settings. Livewell Southwest is engaged in a national three-year NHS Improvement programme, in partnership with University Hospitals Plymouth, to implement everyday improvement, led by frontline staff, and with input from people with lived experience. Rhian is the organisation’s Executive Lead for this programme, responsible for driving its adoption and implementation.

Previously, Rhian was Deputy Director of Finance at Livewell Southwest. Before that she was Senior Contracts Accountant at NHS NEW Devon CCG, and Contracts and Performance Manager at Plymouth PCT.

Rhian is creating an improvement network for Livewell Southwest, open to anyone interested in improvement. 'It will be a place to share learning, seek or offer support, and to celebrate success. I hope to bring together people from professions, workstreams and organisations who would not routinely meet, to encourage the shared experience and learning which can be the catalyst for more seamless services.'

Rhian believes her GenerationQ experience will enhance and inform her improvement role. 'My aim is that it will equip me to provide the best possible support and drive to our senior leadership team to enable them, in turn, to inspire successful everyday improvement led by the frontline.'
