Patrick South Director of Communications

Patrick joined the Health Foundation as Director of Communications in November 2022.

Patrick leads the Foundation’s communications activities which include its publications and other content, media, public affairs, marketing, events and internal communications. He is also the lead director for its work on equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI).

Patrick has more than 20 years’ experience of working in communications for organisations in the health and care sector, think tanks and charities. Before joining the Foundation, he spent nearly 13 years at The King’s Fund, including more than six years as Director of Communications. Prior to that, he held senior communications roles at Age UK, the Resolution Foundation and Shelter. Patrick began his career in the civil service, working in the Lord Chancellor’s Department.
