About me

Anny is a GenerationQ Fellow and Director of Safety and Effectiveness and Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Oxford University Hospitals Foundation Trust.

She specialises in lung cancer and interventional bronchoscopy, and is responsible for leading and developing the local and regional lung cancer service.

Anny has experience of both NHS and research environments, and a clear track record of commitment to leadership and improving services. She recently influenced organisational change by developing and implementing a new ‘virtual’ follow-up clinic for patients with lung nodules. She has also taken a lead role in transforming a respiratory intervention service, effectively implementing changes in organisation, staff training and compliance in order to improve the safety, efficiency and quality of patient care.

Anny is keen to explore improving services for patients on a greater scale and believes that the GenerationQ programme will allow her to build on her current leadership abilities and unlock insights into new ways of working: ‘I am motivated to develop further so that I can have more impact in the roles I have currently but also in the management and leadership roles I take on in the future’.

She plans to apply her learning to lead on a significant project to improve lung cancer services and meet treatment targets by streamlining diagnostics, reducing waiting times and supporting patients better through diagnosis and treatment. Her intention would then be to take the learning and changes developed locally in Oxford to improve patient access to best possible practice on a wider scale.
