About me

Christine is a Health Foundation Leadership Fellow and Associate Director of Community Commissioning at Lewisham Healthcare NHS Trust.

At the time of her fellowship, Christine Gadney was Manager of Specialist Services for Lewisham PCT.

Christine has a clinical background, and qualified as a registered nurse in 1976, a midwife in 1978 and a health visitor in 1979, with degrees in psychology and education and supervision.

After moving into management, Chris joined Lewisham in 2000 and had held several positions there. She started her role as Manager of Specialist Services in December 2006, which involved managing the specialist nurses and specialist services such as the phlebotomy and interpreting service for the PCT. She was also responsible for Lewisham's walk-in centre and worked as the project lead for the redesign of the local front-of-house A&E services/urgent care centre.

Christine then changed roles to become a commissioner of community services within Lewisham PCT, now Clinical Commissioning Group and is currently Associate Director of Community Commissioning.
