About me
Liz is a GenerationQ Fellow and Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, and Associate Director for QI and Clinical Governance for the Children, Young Adults and Families directorate. Her main clinical role is as Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to South Camden Community CAMHS (child and adolescent mental health services); a role she has had since 2012. She was interim team manager in 2016, with responsibility for all aspects of clinical care and staff management. She was appointed Clinical Governance Lead for the CYAF directorate at the Tavistock Centre in November 2016. She has responsibility for all areas of clinical governance across the directorate, including seven service lines and over 300 staff. Liz has also been an Honorary Research Associate at University College London Institute of Child Health since 2013, and is currently leading a research study into selective eating in children at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Liz is taking a leadership role in implementing a quality improvement (QI) programme at Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust as a member of a QI strategy group. She is aiming to have QI work embedded in the everyday work of staff, by expanding work that she has already initiated with her own team. She hopes that GenerationQ will help her achieve this ambition: ‘I believe my participation in GenerationQ will benefit my organisation in terms of enhancing the leadership of its QI programme, being able to embed QI processes throughout the work of the Trust; and ultimately to improve services to patients and families and to improve staff satisfaction’.
