About me

Ed is a Health Foundation Leadership Fellow and Deputy Lead for the Armed Forces at the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management and Senior Lecturer in Healthcare Leadership at Keele University.

Ed joined the Royal Air Force as a Medical Cadet in 1995 and graduated from Nottingham with a BMedSci in 1996 followed by a BMBS in 1998. 

He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2002 and gained a certificate (2003) and a postgraduate Diploma (level 7 2007) in management before becoming a Chartered Manager (2007). He had been a member of the Chartered Management Institute since 2003. 

Ed had been an RAF Medical Officer since 1995 and is currently a Cardiology and General Medical Registrar with rolling honorary contracts at Individual NHS Trusts.

He was a member of the Chief Medical Officers National Implementation Team on Venous Thrombo-Embolism and also acted as a part time medical advisor to the Healthcare Commission.
