About me
Edward is a GenerationQ Fellow and Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals
Edward has recently returned to SaTH having been a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at University Hospital North Midlands NHS Trust since 2012. Prior to then he was a Consultant at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust.
His role involves running the ‘shop floor’, as well as supervising the junior doctors and medical students. He is also the clinical lead for the Emergency Medicine value stream, as part of the Virginia Mason Programme at the trust..
He sat on the Shropshire CCG governing body as the secondary care clinician prior to returning to SaTH.
Through GenerationQ Edward is interested in developing and improving his leadership skills within quality improvement: ‘I am interested in the links between the clinical and non-clinical aspects of quality improvement, and the advances and knowledge that the NHS can learn from non-clinicians.’
‘There are specific quality improvement projects that I am involved with, for example in improving safer medicines management, and I want to develop my leadership skills in leading, designing, delivering and supporting these projects.’
