About me

Emily is a Health Foundation Leadership Fellow and Assistant Clinical Networks Lead and Maternity Clinical Networks Lead at NHS England (London regions).

At the time of her fellowship, Emily McKie was Associate Director of Joint Mental Health Commissioning for Lewisham Primary Care Trust.

Emily graduated from Cambridge University in 2000 with a BA hons in Theology and Religious Studies. After completing the NHS General Management Training Scheme in 2002, Emily went on to gain an MSc with distinction in Health Care Policy and Management in 2004. 

At the time of her fellowship, Emily had been in her post since July 2005.  She was responsible for the strategic commissioning of Adult Mental Health and Social Care Services for Lewisham, and managed the pooled budget of £50 million. Emily also coordinated the overarching contract with South London and Maudsley (SLaM) Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
