Jo is a Health Foundation Leadership Fellow and Vice President at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
At the time of her fellowship, she was Director of Education for Southampton University Hospitals Trust.
Jo graduated with a MBChB in 1987 and became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1993. In 2000 she gained an MA (Hons) in Education. Jo has been a Consultant Obstetrician since September 2001 and Director of Education since June 2005.
At the time of her fellowship, Jo managed an integrated directorate of education and learning (IDEAL) with a senior management team representing all the professional and non-professional groups across the Trust. She was responsible for the inter-professional education and training across the Trust and sat on the Trust Management Board.
As well as directly managing her own team of multi-professional staff, Jo also led a multi-professional team of tutors and educators across the Trust.
