About me
Joyce is a Health Foundation Leadership Fellow and Consultant Orthodontist at Alder Hey Children's NHS Trust.
At the time of her fellowship, she was Consultant Orthodontist and Clinical Director of North West England, Isle of Man and North Wales Cleft Service, Royal Liverpool Children’s NHS Trust.
Joyce qualified in dentistry in 1981 and completed her PhD in dental research in 1988. She was a Fellow of the Dental Faculties both of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow and of the Royal College of Surgeons, England.
Joyce had been a Consultant Orthodontist at the Royal Liverpool Children’s NHS Trust since 1997 and Clinical Director since May 2005. In addition to her clinical duties, Joyce was involved in establishing a new, improved service for children, young people and adults with congenital anomalies of clefts of the lip and/or palate.
