About me

Paul is a GenerationQ Fellow and Deputy Director, Commissioning Strategy, at NHS England.

Paul Mount worked for over 20 years as an economist in the public sector and private management consultancies, where the work involved supporting public sector clients to drive service improvement. He was previously Senior Economist at the Department of Education and the Department of Health.

He is currently Deputy Director in NHS England's Commissioning Strategy directorate, a position he has held since January 2013. He is currently working on the design of incentive mechanisms for new care models.

Paul has just completed the GenerationQ programme. During the programme he developed an organisational development programme in his directorate, designed to stimulate more collaborative working practices and to support greater diversity.

He is interested in how to create the conditions for transformational change within complex local health and social care systems.
