About me
Rachel is a Health Foundation Leadership Fellow and retired former Chief Executive of Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust.
At the time of her fellowship, Rachel Newson was Director of Commissioning for Norfolk & Waveney Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.
Rachel qualified as a registered mental health nurse in 1987. She completed an MSc in Health Services Management in 1996 and a BSc in Health Studies in 1993.
As part of her role as Director of Commissioning, Rachel was responsible for modernising services within mental health. She had managed two major new build service developments, and continued to lead work on developing local cost effective services to establish local care pathways and to avoid out of area placements.
