About me
Sarah Anderson is a Sciana member and National Lead for Tuberculosis (TB) Strategy at Public Health England.
As well as providing strategic leadership to the national TB programme, Sarah leads the implementation of the Collaborative TB Strategy for England 2015–2020. She previously worked as a regional epidemiologist in London, a consultant in health protection and as TB Lead for the London region of Public Health England.
Sarah is currently a member of the technical advisory group on TB for the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe. She trained as a doctor in Cambridge and London, and undertook a medical doctorate researching ‘The epidemiology of TB from a primary care perspective’.
Sarah has spent time seconded to WHO in Geneva, where she published research on improving international TB and HIV collaboration. She has an academic interest in TB and is involved with a number of ongoing TB research projects.
