Dr Simon Eaton Consultant Physician and Diabetologist

About me

Simon is a Health Foundation Leadership Fellow and Consultant Physician and Diabetologist at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

At the time of his fellowship, Simon was Consultant Physician and Diabetologist at the Diabetes Resource Centre at North Tyneside General Hospital, Tyne and Wear.

Simon graduated in Medical Sciences in 1991 followed by a BM BS in 1993 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2007. He attained a Doctor of Medicine (DM) in 2003, followed by a Certificate of Medical Education in 2004.

At the time of his fellowship, Simon had been in his post providing specialist diabetes services across Northumbria since July 2003. He was also a member of the National Steering Group of DESMOND (Diabetes Education for Self Management – Ongoing and Newly Diagnosed), Chair of Northern Region Diabetes Service Advisory Group and is Lead Clinician for Care Planning in Diabetes for the Department of Health.
