About me
Steven is a Health Foundation Leadership Fellow and Interim Medical Director at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust.
At the time of his fellowship, he was Medical Director & Consultant Paediatrician for Royal Liverpool Children’s NHS Trust.
Steven graduated in medicine in 1981 from Leeds University and became a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics in 1997. He had been a Consultant at the Royal Liverpool Children’s NHS Trust since 1991 and Medical Director since 2004.
In his post at the time of the fellowship, Steven’s main responsibilities included clinical governance with a particular focus on clinical effectiveness, infection control and medicines management. Steven was also Executive Lead for Research and responsible for the medical workforce in terms of job planning, appraisal and performance management.
