About me

Vinice is a GenerationQ Fellow and Deputy Director of Nursing at the NHS England East Anglia Area Team.

She has responsibility for quality, serious incidents and infection control.

After qualifying as a nurse in 1988, Vinice went on to work in a range of clinical settings before moving into management roles. From 2003-07, she was Assistant Director of Nursing and Clinical Governance at Harrow Primary Care Trust. In 2007, she joined the Department of Health as a portfolio manager, before moving to The King’s Fund to manage its Safer Births programme in 2010.

Vinice became Deputy Director of Quality, Safety and Patient Experience at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group in 2012 and took up her current role in the East Anglia Area Team in December 2013.

Vinice completed a degree in health sciences in 1997, an MBA in 2004 and a postgraduate diploma in education in 2006.

Vinice describes herself as passionate about quality improvement in the NHS and says she’s always looking for opportunities to make a greater impact on improving services for patients and carers. 'The GenerationQ fellowship really stood out for the quality of its programme and faculty, and its track record in making a difference at service level. I’m particularly interested in learning more about how to influence and motivate teams and organisations during times of austerity and transition, and developing expertise in service and quality improvement.'

Throughout GenerationQ, Vinice will be exploring ways in which the area team can develop and implement a robust quality framework for its commissioned services such as primary care. Vinice also hopes to build a strong network with the other fellows in her GenerationQ cohort and colleagues who have previously taken part in the programme.

'Being a GenerationQ fellow is a fantastic opportunity to build links with peers who share a commitment to improving the quality of health care and to learn from their experiences of working in health systems in the UK and internationally.'
