29 December 2023
The Health Foundation’s Chief Executive, Dr Jennifer Dixon, has been awarded a damehood in the King’s New Year Honours List for services to the NHS and public health.
Sir Hugh Taylor, Chair of the Health Foundation’s Board of Governors, said: ‘Congratulations to Jennifer. This is a fitting tribute to the outstanding contribution she has made to health policy and research in a variety of roles over the last 30 years. During her time as Chief Executive, the Health Foundation has grown to become one of the leading foundations, not just in health but in public policy more widely, and I am sure it will continue to go from strength to strength under her leadership.’
Dr Jennifer Dixon said: ‘Earlier this year, I celebrated ten years as Chief Executive of the Health Foundation. I am absolutely delighted to receive this award which reflects the impact of all the work by the Foundation to improve health and care for the UK population, and the commitment of our staff during my time here to achieve this.’
