Rachel joined the Health Foundation's Board of Governors in July 2024.
Rachel is an award-winning journalist. She has been the Political Editor of The Observer since April 2025. Prior to that she was a political columnist and interviewer at The Times where she chaired The Times Health, Education and Crime and Justice Commissions. Before joining The Times in 2008, she was a political correspondent on The Daily Telegraph and political editor of The Independent on Sunday.
