Dr Luisa Pettigrew Senior Policy Fellow

Luisa Pettigrew is a General Practitioner and Senior Policy Fellow at The Health Foundation. 

She is also an honorary Research Fellow in the department of Health Services Research and Policy at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). 

Luisa has been a GP since 2008, and holds a master’s degree in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing. Her PhD focuses on the role of inspections in general practice and their impact on quality. 

She has worked on research and policy projects relating to health systems financing, organisational models of general practice, and health care professional behaviour change with organisations including the World Health Organisation, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Nuffield Trust 

She has been an editorial board member for the journal Education for Primary Care and member of NICE guidelines update committees. She supervises LSHTM MSc Public Health and Health Policy students and co-leads LSTHM's Primary Health Care group.
