- The contract will run from March 2027 to December 2030. The indicative budget is £480,000 inclusive of VAT over the full project period, likely to be split evenly across the years.
- The deadline for proposals is 12.00 noon on Tuesday 27 October 2026.
Invitation to apply
Health Equals is a cross-sector coalition funded by the Health Foundation. We work to build public demand for action on health inequalities, strengthen political and policy support for a cross-government approach to health, and bring partners together as a collective voice for change.
Since launching in 2023, Health Equals has built a coalition of more than 130 organisations, established a Parliamentary Champions Network of more than 115 MPs and peers, and delivered award-winning public campaigns to improve understanding of how health inequalities can be addressed. In our next phase, we will strengthen public, political and cross-sector support for action on the building blocks of health, including decent homes, secure work, stable incomes, strong communities and a healthy environment.
We are looking for an experienced public relations partner with expertise in campaign communications and influencer engagement, and a track record of achieving strong earned media impact. The successful provider will work closely with the Health Equals team, coalition members, people with lived experience and other agency partners to deliver high-impact communications activity that keeps health inequalities visible within public debate and supports action for change.
Details of the work
The provider will help Health Equals maintain and grow visibility of health inequalities within public debate, generate high-quality national, regional and broadcast media coverage, strengthen relationships with journalists, commentators, influencers and public figures, and support integrated campaigning activity at key political moments. The successful agency will build on existing campaign learning and help ensure health inequalities remain relevant, newsworthy and culturally resonant over the next four years.
Indicative activities include developing PR and earned media strategies; creating media plans and campaign communications approaches; delivering proactive and reactive media relations; producing press releases, briefings and spokesperson materials; supporting events, influencer and talent engagement; identifying opportunities linked to emerging news and political developments; and evaluating campaign performance against agreed objectives and outcomes.
