Health Foundation welcomes Alex Schoenfeldt as its new Chief Investment Officer
Today, the Health Foundation has welcomed Alex Schoenfeldt as its new Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
The Health Foundation is funded by an endowment of more than £1 billion, which is invested to generate returns to support our mission to build a healthier UK. Alex will lead the development and delivery of the Foundation’s investment policy, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the endowment in support of our mission. This includes our commitments as a responsible investor and our goal of becoming a carbon neutral investor by 2035.
Before joining the Foundation, Alex was Head of Investments at Lumyna, a $23bn asset manager that is part of Generali Investments. Alex also previously led external investments for the British Airways Pension Fund, as well as working in a senior investment capacity at the Atlantic Philanthropies, a $4bn charitable foundation where he also acted as a trustee for their UK charitable trust.
