Katie Fozzard Senior Economist

Katie is a Senior Economist in the Health Foundation.

Katie is a Senior Economist in the secretariat for the NHS Productivity Commission, leading the Commission’s programme of analysis. Katie joined the Health Foundation in 2024 as an Economist in the REAL Centre team, and led a portfolio of productivity and workforce-related projects.

Before joining the Health Foundation, Katie worked as an economist at NHS England and has experience applying economic and econometric analysis using data across health care settings and population health. 

She has also worked as a maths teacher and is passionate about encouraging more young people to pursue careers in economics, particularly those currently underrepresented in the field.

Katie has a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and an MSc in Health Economics, both from the University of York.
